Meet Pyrene and Solano - two variations of the same seamless, neck-down cardigan design, built around a textured lace round yoke of embossed branches and berries, a buttoned front, and a higher back neck for a comfortable fit.

While they share a foundation, they take on completely different characters through yarn choice and finishing details.

Patterns include:

  • Written instructions in US terms

  • Schematic

  • Yoke, main stitch, sleeve charts

  • Videos for the yoke, short back rows, underarm foundations, body, rib bands, and front bands

The Story Behind the Designs

Pyrene Cardigan crochet Pattern

The Pyrene cardigan came first. When I finished designing it and sent it off to testing, I realized that winter was winding down. If I wanted to actually wear a cardigan right away, I needed a lighter, cotton version. While the testers were working through Pyrene, I started on Solano using cotton yarn and short sleeves.

Because we all live in different climates and experience seasons differently, both cardigan patterns include instructions for both short and long sleeves, so you can adapt either design to your weather.
