Crochet hook 2.75 mm.
4 cm / 1 ½'' diameter 2 metal D-rings, tapestry needle, safety pin, at least 23 cm / 9'' diameter circular plastic canvas (Amazon, Jo-Anne). Hand-sewing needle, sewing thread, sewing machine.
Measure bag before buying following supplies:
For lining: about 41 cm / 16'' of stiff outdoor fabric (stretched bag height plus 9 cm /3 ½''). Alternatively, softer fabric and the same amount of interfacing.
For inner drawstring pouch top: 41 cm / 16'' of high quality cotton; add 8 cm / 3 1/3'' if sewing drawstrings. Pattern includes instructions for crocheted drawstrings.
About 5 cm / 2'' of Pellon Style #376 Fusible Buckram (crisp cotton stiffener) to stiffen lining upper edge.

Gauge:

FPdc (front post double crochet) stitch: 22.5 sts x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4''.
