This pattern includes:

• Written instructions in American crochet terminology for a shoulder bag with an optinal bottom and a pillow, graphs / charts, videos for stitches, techniques, and first few rounds, instructions for lining with step pictures.

Recommended materials:

Yarn:

• Scheepjes Whirlette (60% Katoen x 40% Acryl, Fingering/ 4 laags gewicht, 100g/ 455m)
  of Scheepjes Whirl (60% Cotton x 40% Acrylic, Fingering/ 4 ply weight, 215-225g/ 1000m)

• Yarn1 (light for background):
  Bag: 120g (including 110g for mosaic section and 10g for upper edge backing) and 25g for optional bottom
  Pillow: 110g
  Prototype: 2 skeins of Whirlette in 894 Cashew

• Yarn2 (dark for tiger and straps or handles):
  Bag: 150g (including 110g for mosaic section and 40g for handles)
  Pillow: 110g
  Prototype: 1 skein of Whirl in 782 Rhubarb Bumble

• Yarn3 (optional; for nose and eyes): 3g each in 2 colors: for nose and eyes
  Prototype: for nose Whirlette in 886/ Almond Butter, for eyes Whirlette in 853/ Mango

• Crochet hooks 2.5mm (for bag) and 2.75mm (for handles)

Bag:

• 1 x sew-on magnetic clasp

• 45cm/ 17 ¾'' of pre-quilted fabric (bag height + 6cm/ 2 3/8'')

• 9cm x 76cm/ 3 ½'' x 30'' (bag width x 2 + 4cm/ 1 ½'') piece of buckram (very stiff but thin backing for hats and bags) or Pellon 70 Peltex Sew-In Ultra Firm Stabilizer to reinforce the upper edge

• If making a bottom: 24cm x 10cm/ 4'' x 9 ½'' (bag bottom size – 2cm/ ¾'' from each side) piece of plastic canvas to reinforce the bottom

• Sewing machine

• Tapestry needle

• Sewing thread (match thread to Yarn1)

Pillow:

• Pillow insert, invisible zipper
