When choosing size take into a consideration if you're going to wear the belt on your waist or hips. Measure accordingly.

Recommended materials:

• Size 5 crochet cotton thread.
  Shown here 5/2 Pearl Cotton yarn from www.halcyonyarn.com (super-fine yarn, standard yarn weight 1, 100% cotton, 2000 yards (1829 m)/lb (454 g)) in 1610 Deep Turquoise and 1140 Dark Sierra – 25–35 g/0.9-1.3 oz/1 mini-cone (300 yards/275 m/68 g/2.4 oz) of each.

• Tapestry needle, 10 cm (4'') winding board for making tassels.

• Crochet hook 2-2.5mm.

Gauge:

• 1 motif is approx 6 cm (2 5/16'') in diameter.
